Upon moving back to Brighton in 2010 he was appointed as a Staff Grade Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at the Royal Sussex County Hospital. Sarah Murray Hygienist / Auditor "I qualified as a dental hygienist and therapist from the London Hospital Medical College in 1990 where I am now Principal Tutor; I also work at the University of Essex involved with their Foundation Degree dental hygienist programme. I gained my Masters degree in 1997. I am an inspector for the GDC and was awarded Hygienist of the Year 2007. My role with Dental Health Spa is ‘behind the scenes’ whereby I am involved in a variety of aspects within the practice. One of the most exciting things is that Christina and I have been awarded a national research award to explore how to change oral health behaviours of patients within the practice, without lecturing or nagging! We don’t want to be seen as ‘the whiplashers of dental floss’. I also run regular audits, such as record keeping, which is essential to ensure high standards are maintained for the safe, effective care of our patients.
